Grumeti River Camp, Serenget, Tanzania

This tented safari camp is wonderfully remote. Situated in the western corridor of the Serengeti, by the Grumeti River, where wildebeest plunge through the waters, running the gauntlet of gigantic crocodiles, on their annual migration. At Grumeti River Camp, hippos greet you through the watery carpet of lilies and the spectacular pied coats of Colobus monkeys flash through the bird-filled reverie trees.

Even at night, the wild pulse of Africa and its wildlife is mesmerizing when the nocturnal orchestra of owls, bats and galagos is punctuated by the primeval sounds of lion and hyena.

The abundance of African wildlife is breath taking - On your safari, view zebra, eland and giraffe as well as some of the highest densities of cheetah in Africa, huge prides of lion and solitary leopards.
